Dear FBA Member or Nominator:

Summer is in mid-swing and the RHBAA Celebration is approaching.  We hope that you have begun or soon will begin to select your young pedigreed Racking Horses for the Futurity Breeders’ Association classes on Saturday, September 20, 2008.  The show will begin at 5:00 pm.

The following Futurity classes will be offering at this year’s Celebration:

            Futurity, Weanling Mares, Open

            Futurity, Weanling Stallions & Geldings, Open

            Futurity, Yearling Mares, Open

            Futurity, Yearling Stallions & Geldings, Open

            Futurity, Two-Year-Old Open (Mares, Geldings & Stallions)

            Futurity, Thee-Year-Old Open (Mares, Geldings, & Stallions)

            Futurity, Country Pleasure, 3 Years of Age & Under

            Futurity, Mares & Foals, Open

Enclosed you will find a Futurity membership form and Futurity nomination form.  The membership form should be returned to Elane Berry, PO Box 181, Roland, AR 72135.

The FBA nomination form includes all the information and directions for completion on the back of the form.  When you have selected your pedigreed colts and mares for the Futurity nomination, complete the form and mail it to the RHBAA Office, 67 Horse Center Drive, Decatur, AL 35603.  The deadline for the submission of the nomination form is August 15, 2008.

The FBA continues to be the prominent collection of quality for pedigreed Racking Horses.  We want to encourage ALL OWNERS of pedigreed Racking weanlings, yearlings, two-year-olds and three-year-olds to continue or to become involved and participate in the Futurity.  The more participants we have, the greater the prize money, and everyone has a chance of winning.  The premiums paid in 2007 for first and second places were $494.78 and $328.30, respectively.  We are sincerely trying to increase participation, but we need everyone’s help and support.
