Ladies Auxiliary Minutes

April 24, 2008

Meeting was called to order by our President, Nicole Rehkemper at 9:00 am in the Board Room at the Decatur, AL show grounds. 

Ed Heirs, President of the Board of Directors, explained to everyone that the Board of Directors has received an offer to sell the show grounds.  After the discussion we took a vote and everyone present agreed that the best thing for the RHBAA is to sell the grounds. 

Debbie Morris read the minutes from the last meeting, Mickey Dalton mad a motion to accept, Sabrina Matthews second.  Motion passed.

Glenda was not able to attend the meeting so the Treasury Report will be presented at the Shelbyville Classic horse show in June.

Ava Odum gave a report on the “Memorial Wreath”.  Ava and her committee will create a form to be used to sell spaces.  The spaces will be 3 x 5 in size and cost $25.00.  A motion was made and passed to continue working on this project and the wreath will be displayed at the 2008 Fall Celebration.

At the last meeting we discussed if our president should be on the Rules and Enforcement Committee.  After some research was done and another discussion at this meeting a decision was made that we do not need to be on this Committee. 

Debbie Morris will not be able to attend the Shelbyville Cook Out so Lee Ann Musick will be in charge of that.  The cook out will be on Friday night after the show.  Everyone needs to bring some soda and help as much as possible.  A Talent Show will be held at the Fall Celebration during the Cook Out on Friday night.  Let everyone know and try to get as many people as possible to enter.

Sabrina Matthews will do some research about getting new T-shirts for our organization.  She will have more information at the next meeting.

Debbie Morris will create and mail out a letter and a membership form to every member that has not paid their 2008 dues.

The next meeting will be on June 13^th, 9:00 am in the Board Room during the Shelbyville Classic horse show.
